CPR Certification and First Aid Training

What is CPR?
CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, can help save a life when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs, also known as cardiac arrest. When CPR is performed by bystanders before emergency care arrives, it can double or triple the chance of survival. This is such an important topic to learn about because the sooner a person suffering from cardiac arrest has CPR started, the better the outcome. Remember in an emergency minutes matter.

What is an AED?
An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It’s a medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm. This crucial step in the survival chain can help save a life.
The primary benefit of AEDs is their potential to save lives by quickly delivering a controlled electric shock to the heart, restoring a normal heart rhythm, and increasing the likelihood of survival for someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
CPR AED Instructions
An AED is as simple as pressing the ON button and listening to the prompts. Always remember to remain calm and to follow the AED’s instructions carefully. Training in AED use significantly enhances confidence and effectiveness in managing cardiac emergencies. Are you ready?
Can an AED be used instead of CPR?
Despite the simplistic nature of how to preform CPR, it is incredibly difficult to perfect. Taking the class and getting CPR certification ensures that you understand the mechanics and proper technique of how to perform CPR and use the AED. Our instructors will show you how to best protect yourself and the person you’re trying to help in an emergency. This class will ensure that when time comes, you will be the best first responder possible.
Where can I get an AED?
AED’s available for purchase upon request. Before purchasing an AED, it’s advisable to research local regulations and requirements, consider training options, and ensure that you understand the responsibilities associated with owning and maintaining an AED. Consulting with medical professionals or emergency services in your area can also provide valuable guidance regarding the purchase and use of an AED.
